A contractor working on the Kennet and Avon Canal in Devizes had to be airlifted to hospital after hurting his leg in an accident yesterday afternoon.
The air ambulance was called to the scene shortly after 5pm following the accident. The man suffered a leg injury as he worked on trees close to where new lock gates are being installed.
He was flown to hospital but was released later the same evening.
