A man found hanging in a summer house at the bottom of his garden in Devizes is thought to have taken his own life.
An inquest has been opened into the death of Mark Costin, 39, who lived at Longcroft Road, Devizes.
The Wiltshire coroner heard that a neighbour saw Mr Costin in his back garden at 10.30pm on the night of February 19 and then saw him in his summer house at 12.30am.
He was still there an hour later so the police were called and Mr Costin was found hanged in the summer house. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be hanging.
Although he was alone in the house at the time of his death, neighbours said that he had lived there with his family.
The inquest was adjourned until a later date. Tributes to Mr Costin can be left on this website.
