Warminster schoolkids hosting quiz night to fund Amazon trip

Warminster Prep School will be holding a quiz night this week to help fund conservation work in South America.

Ten students from the school's sixth form are planning a trip to Ecuador in the summer and need to raise £2,595 each to go.

During their visit the pupils will be undertaking conservation work in the Amazon jungle as well as building a new school for disadvantaged children.

The school will be holding a quiz night on Thursday, March 18 to help fund the trip.

Tickets for the event, which starts at 7pm, can be bought from the school on 01982 210100.

Does nobody else see the irony in running quizzes that use paper made from trees to fund going to the amazon? Surely the children could email their support which would be far more ecological.
