Police release CCTV following spate of tyre slashings

CCTV images of a man wanted by police in connection with a spate of tyre slashings and criminal damage to cars in Warminster have been released.

Officers are investigating after 36 car tyres were slashed and car windows were damaged in Masefield Road in the early hours of February 18.

Police believe the offender used a small sharp implement, possibly a Stanley knife, to cause the damage.

At the time Warminster police inspector Dave Minty condemned the vandals, saying the damage could have a ‘devastating’ effect on people’s lives.

Police are hoping to speak to the man in the CCTV images. If you can help call Warminster police on 0845 408 7000.

What a nasty pointless act to carry out that has cost many people a lot of money and caused great upset, lets hope he is recognised, arrested and given a sentence as well as repaying the damage costs, what is the betting he has previous as well.
