Hospice urges fundraisers to go Dotty on April Fool's Day

Two fundraisers for the Dorothy House in Winsley are being held over the coming weeks to raise as much money as possible for the hospice.
The first will be the annual Dotty Day on April 1 which encourages people to take part in ‘dotty’ themed activities in their own homes or workplaces to boost funds.
Ideas given by the hospice include dressing ‘dotty’ for the day, making ‘dotty cakes’ or playing ‘dotty’ themed games to raise money.
People can also sign up for the Dotty Lotty, which is Dorothy House Hospice Care’s own fundraising lottery, which raised more than £20,000 in 2009/2010.
The lottery offers people the chance to win up to £250 every fortnight.
It costs £50 to buy a number, giving you 25 chances to win and there is no limit to the number of tickets you can buy.
The closing date for applications is April 9.
