A teenager from Melksham has appeared before a judge charged with a firearm offence following a family row.
Josh Owen, 19, is charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
No charges were formally put to Owen during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court on Friday and he did not enter a plea.
It is alleged that Owen, of Barnes Wallis Close, Bowerhill, committed the offence on June 14.
He is said to have had the BB gun with intent that Mark Amor should believe unlawful violence would be committed.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to August 27 when he is due to enter a plea to the charge.
Owen was released on bail on condition he lives with his aunt at Waterside Park, Devizes and observes an 8pm to 7am curfew.
He is also banned from going to Barnes Wallis Close and having contact with a number of named witnesses.
