A MAN has been remanded in custody accused of starting a fire at his home and sending obscene message over the telecommunications network.
Lorenzo Sardo, of Daniel Gooch House, Rodbourne Road, is charged with arson with intent to endanger life in relation to a fire at his flat on February 9.
The 35-year-old is also accused of sending obscene messages by telephone on various days in February. No charges were put to Sardo and he did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
Recorder David Bartlett adjourned the case to April 26, when Sardo is due to enter pleas, and he was remanded in custody.
