Doctor Who characters were popular with the children at a Trowbridge primary school’s summer fete on Saturday.
Youngsters, parents and teachers from Holbrook School basked in the sunshine while enjoying a host of attractions including a visit by fictional characters, including the Daleks.
The annual event, which raised £1,800, included pony rides, a Larkrise Farm animal section, a challenging assault course, courtesy of Active Trowbridge, and a bouncy castle.
Organisers put on a barbecue and family entertainment, which was staged in an arena.
Shoppers were able to visit various stalls, while a raffle, tombola, face painting, stocks and sand art made for more fun.
Elayne Morgan, from the school’s parents and teachers’ association, said: “Last year the fete raised money for a new children’s kitchen but this year it has paid for the new landscaping at the front of the school. The children helped to design it all.”
l Holbrook Primary School is celebrating after scooping a Leadership Quality Mark award for the school’s dedication and commitment to developing future leaders among staff.
