A SWINDON Academy student has made it through to the semi-finals of a national modelling competition.
Nicole Braden, of Wichelstowe, is through to the final stages of Teen Queen UK, which she hopes will start her modelling career.
But the 16-year-old needs a company to sponsor her to the tune of £195. In return their name will feature on her sash.
“I have been wanting to do modelling for ages and my mum suggested entering a modelling competition,” she said.
“I would be representing Swindon. It would be good for me because I have never done anything like this before.
“I used to be really shy but now I just want to go for it. I am feeling confident about the competition.”
Nicole, who is studying for her AS levels, needs to send her £40 deposit with the name of the company sponsoring her by Friday, February 10.
The competition will be held in London and she will be competing against girls from across the country.
“I am really excited, I just need sponsorship,” she said.
“I really want it to lead on to a career, it is basically a dream that I want to come true.”
The winner will receive a one-year modelling contract and £1,000 worth of prizes. The grand final is in May.
