Business owner Aimee Frankham has brought even more ‘girl power’ to Malmesbury Town Council, becoming the sixth female councillor out of its total complement of 16.
Coun Frankham will be relying on her business expertise, experience as a mother of six, and passion for the “right” development in Malmesbury after taking on the new role.
Coun Frankham, who owns Amano Tailors in Gloucester Street, moved to the town six years ago with her locally-born husband.
As well as youth employment, apprenticeship schemes and provision of care for the elderly, Coun Frankham says she has set her sights on guiding the future development of the town.
“My real passion at the moment is to ensure that the right kind of development occurs in Malmesbury, rather than developer-led initiatives being forced upon us,” she said.
