POLLY Williamson’s future looks bright as she recovers from a serious head injury that left her in an induced coma after falling from a spooked horse last December.

Mrs Williamson’s mother, Susie Heap, said the Charlton Park eventing star is on the mend.

There are plans for the 43-year-old to return home from Frenchay Hospital on April 12.

Mrs Heap said: “She can walk unaided now and mentally she is absolutely fine. She can’t remember what happened, but she can remember what she did the day before.

“The consultants said she has done remarkably well. She’s a month ahead of herself, which I think is due to her determination.”
