Almost 50 leads are being investigated as Wiltshire College’s 100 in 100 apprenticeships campaign enters its last 10 days.
So far, 36 apprentices have been found placements in the 100-day push.
Although that number is still well short of the 100 target, 48 possible posts are still being chased.
The campaign has brought opportunities to those lucky enough to secure an apprenticeship.
Rebecca Hobb, 18, of Colerne has just started an apprenticeship in purchase sales administration and marketing at Broughton Gifford chemical firm Draychem.
MD Mike Lines said: “She’s only been here a short while, but she’s taken to it like a duck to water. Obviously, we’ve got to teach her sales and marketing and administration, purchasing ledger and bought ledger, that sort of thing.
“She’s going to be helping to build a new website and online shop, so she’ll be learning quite a few skills. Hopefully, at the end there will be a full-time job for her, if she wants it.”
