Fitness scheme is up and running

A NEW running club is launching in Trowbridge’s Town Park, in a bid to get residents fitter and healthier.

Active Trowbridge, which is the leisure arm of the town council, has launched the weekly club, which meets on Thursdays, from 6.30- 7.30pm.

Hayley Bell, who heads the leisure group, said sessions were open to anyone who wanted to get fit.

She said: “The idea is to get the park being used and to make it a place where people can do stuff and feel safe.”

Organiser Mark Hunt added: “We want to get beginners into running.”
