THE go-ahead has been given for a new dog grooming parlour in Lyneham.
Wiltshire Council has approved an application to change the use of a detached garage in Lancaster Square for the venture.
The application received no objections.
Richard Francis, the council’s senior environmental health officer, supported the application but made a recommendation.
He said: “I do not wish to object to this application, however you may wish to consider restricting the Saturday trading times to operate between 8am and 1pm, as the intensification of visitors and vehicles using the business, located in a residential area, may have an adverse impact on the amenity of neighbouring properties.”
The application was also supported by the Ministry of Defence and the parish council and it was approved provided the opening times on Saturdays are restricted as requested and that it remains closed on Sundays and bank or public holidays.
