THE Royal British Legion’s first Run2Remember will take place on November 10.

Everyone is invited to remember loved ones or all those who have fought and fallen in war, at the race at Lydiard Park at 11am on the day before Remembrance Sunday.

Runners, joggers and walkers can take part in the 11km or 1.1km fun run and the money raised in sponsorship will support the legion’s work helping today’s brave injured service men and women.

Everyone can take part – in running clothes, uniform or fancy dress.

A spokesman said: “Designed for people of all ages you can run, jog, walk or march either 11km or 1.1km and raise essential funds to support the Legion. You can complete the fun run on your own, or enter as a team – a maximum of 10.

“Not only is the run a great new way to raise funds for our heroic servicemen, women and their families, but it’s also an opportunity to get fit and be a part of a very special day in honour of our very brave service heroes.

“You can choose the distance that suits you best. For the more enthusiastic runners there’s the 11km race that takes you around the beautiful parkland of Lydiard Park. Or you might prefer the gentler challenge of the 1.1km fun-run.”
