A family doctor accused of a string of sex offences appeared in court on Friday. Dr Davinder Jeet Bains, 45, appeared at Swindon Crown Court for a preliminary hearing to face allegations he sexually assaulted patients at Tinkers Lane Surgery, in Royal Wootton Bassett. The doctor, who lives in Swindon, is accused of four counts of sexual assault and voyeurism at the surgery and another count of sexual assault and administering a noxious drug with intent to commit a sexual offence at his home. He has yet to enter any pleas and the court heard the inquiry was still at an early stage. The case was adjourned until December 14 and judge Douglas Field remanded Bains in custody until that date.
