Man denies knifepoint Trowbridge robbery

A man is to face trial by judge and jury accused of robbing someone of a £320 mobile phone in a Trowbridge park.

And Paul Simmons is said to have had a knife when he carried out the alleged offence on Thursday June 21.

The 34-year-old, of Truscott Avenue, Swindon, pleaded not guilty to charges of robbery and possessing an offensive weapon when he appeared at Swindon crown court, and was remanded in custody.
