Free swimming's a splash hit

Wiltshire Council's decision to provide free swimming for children up to 16 years old over the summer holidays proved a success.

Council figures show that 58,858 free sessions were taken up at Wiltshire's swimming pools over July and August this year.

good point
a success for the recipients but a failure from the accountants perspective perhaps ?

I know what you mean but theyre always talking about kids not doing enough exercise and they stopped it for kids and over 60's last year, when it was free all year round, due to lack of money but they always seem to find money when it comes to something the council needs. Theyve spent millions on the Civic hall and have kitted out the refurbished offices with all new desks, chairs etc.
