The long-running campaign for the Melksham Community Campus moves one step closer on Wednesday, with a meeting to assess the new plans.

Wiltshire Council’s Melksham Area Board meets at 7pm at the Assembly Hall to hear details from SCOB, the Shadow Community Operations Board, which is responsible for drawing up the plans, and includes representatives from the council, Melksham Oak School, Melksham Youth Advisory Group and the Chamber of Commerce and updates from Wiltshire Police Authority and Fire Service and the local NHS.

Graham Ellis, chairman of Melksham Chamber of Commerce and member of the SCOB steering group, said: “There’s been a huge amount of work going on in the last year, we’ve been looking and listening to all sorts of things. We’re making sure the Campus is the best it can be going into the future.”

The meeting is open to the public, who will be able to ask questions at the end.
