Witness appeal after man assaulted in Wood Street
A MAN was assaulted in Wood Street in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident happened shortly before 3am on Saturday on the corner of Wood Street. The victim was attacked from behind as he attempted to walk to Victoria Road.
As a result of the assault, he received an inch long cut to the head that required hospital treatment.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Wood Street / Victoria Road area between 2.30am and 3am.
