An exciting new initiative is being launched today to gauge what it’s really like to do business in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Business Barometer is a quarterly survey designed to provide a snapshot of economic conditions in the region as well as insights into the hot topics of the day.

It is being driven by one of Wiltshire’s leading law firms, Withy King, in association with Wiltshire Business magazine.

The first survey will be emailed to hundreds of businesses across Wiltshire and the results will be reported in a four-page editorial feature in the November issue of Wiltshire Business, supported by interviews with participants, company profiles and advice from the experts.

“Wiltshire is home to an eclectic mix of businesses and we look forward to hearing their voices,” said Malcolm Gregory, head of corporate services at Withy King in Swindon.

“While there are plenty of national surveys out there, we felt it would be interesting to engage with businesses based in our region and hear their accounts of how wider economic conditions are impacting on their operations and future plans.

“We also felt it would provide a useful platform to identify and debate the issues which matter to businesses trading in Wiltshire or using this region as a base for national or international trade.

“We hope to hear the views of as many businesses as possible, making this representative and genuinely useful.

“We will share the results with everyone involved and encourage further discussion and networking via our LinkedIn group entitled Wiltshire Business Barometer, which will be launching soon, along with various events.”
