THERE are just a few tickets left for the charity showing of the new James Bond film, Skyfall, in Devizes the day before it is due to be released nationally.
Lavinia Postlethwaite, from Allington, near Devizes, has organised the special screening next Thursday, October 25, in aid of the Foundation for the Study of Infant Death. Mrs Postlethwaite has been involved with the charity since she lost her own daughter, Philippa, in 1982.
The film is due for general release the following day, October 26.
Mrs Postlethwaite has arranged for local companies to take part. Honda in Swindon are providing a CRF250R motorbike similar to that used by one of the villains in the film and the Grange dealership is sending along a Jaguar XLJ, M’s choice of transport.
There were originally 250 tickets available for the gala night but now there are just 40 seats left. Tickets are £25 each, including a reception with drinks and canapés at Scrummylicious in the Market Place before the screening at the Palace Cinema.
