Wessex Chambers has unveiled a new support package that aims to help small businesses in the region to grow.

It will be holding a series of information events across Wiltshire to mark the announcement.

The organisation, which represents 19 chambers of commerce across Wiltshire, wants to offer support to small businesses during difficult economic times.

Rob Perks, chief executive of Wessex Chambers, said: “Over the past few months we have been working hard to put together an exciting new range of products and services aimed at growing and supporting businesses in Wiltshire.

“This includes all the essential services a business requires but perhaps cannot always afford, ranging from human resources, tax and legal advice to bookkeeping and marketing.”

In addition to the new package, Wessex Chambers will also offer discounted services to member businesses. These include a sickness income replacement scheme that allows every worker to benefit from sick pay for up to a year, guaranteed savings on card terminal rates, business insurance, medical insurance, mobile phone contracts and credit reports amongst others.

To mark the launch of Wessex Chambers’ new support package and its connected services the group will be holding four open events for business representatives to find out more.

Elaine Harvey, Wessex communications and marketing manager, said: “We believe these new services will provide excellent value to our members and we invite everyone who runs a business to join us at one of our free information road-shows to find out exactly what is on offer.

“Many of our product providers will be on hand to answer any questions and it would be a great opportunity to meet the team working on behalf of businesses at the chambers.”

The first event will be held at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon, at 4pm, on Wednesday, November 7.

The next event will be at Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, in Salisbury, beginning at 4pm on Tuesday, November 13. The roadshow will then stop at Castle Combe Racing Circuit at 4pm on Wednesday, November 14, with an event starting at 4pm, with the final information session being held at Marlborough Golf Club at 4pm on Tuesday, November 20.
