Bill has lived in Swindon for 36 years and joined the Green (Ecology) Party in 1983. He has stood many times in local elections since 1984. He has also stood for Parliament and in the European Elections. He is married with two grown up children and is a retired careers adviser. His main concern is the over-expansion of Swindon’s urban area especially onto green field sites. He is concerned with issues of climate change, the disastrous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the development of nuclear weapons and nuclear power and the drift to authoritarianism and threat to civil liberties of the main parties.
