WOOTTON Bassett Dev put the Wiltshire League’s most lowly club to the sword on Saturday with a thumping victory.
Bassett won 6-1 at Malborough Reserves to keep their opponents firmly rooted to the b ottom of the Division One table.
Luke Reade and Jake Kitchin both hit bravces and Ross Algar and Tom Marchment were also on the scoresheet.
Madames made it 10 wins out of 10 after they defeated Malmesbury Reserves 5-3 at home, enabling Nalgo to close the gap on Malmesbury in second after a 7-0 win at South Marston.
Elsewhere, AFC Wroughton won 2-1 at Intel.
In the Premier Division, there was a valuable 1-0 win at Beversbrook for lowly Wroughton, while Purton Reserves thumped former Hellenic League side Trowbridge 4-0.
Southbrook edged out Marlborough 1-0 and Chippenham Park beat Blyskawica 2-0.
