Trowbridge's carnival weaved its way through the streets in a festival of light and colour on Saturday, before what organisers think could be its biggest crowd in recent times.
Starting in Canal Road at 7pm, the procession of more than 50 groups, floats, bands and individuals made its way through the town to the Bythesea Road finish point.
Committee member Maryrose Mantle said: “I think the whole committee is really pleased with the way it went. “We thought that town was even more packed this year, which is lovely.
“It was a really spectacular procession, there was so much light and colour and music. We think there could have been 14,000 people or more. Last year we had 13,000.
“The biggest highlight was the appearance of The Harlekinos, the Swiss band. They were absolutely fantastic and went down a storm.”
