A charity football match has already raised £2,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal ahead of the kick-off this Saturday.
The 11-a-side match will feature a team from local company DTR VMS, which has already donated £1,000, and a second team will be led by organiser Tony Hulbert, 43, from Willow Grove, Chippenham.
Mr Hulbert, who is also an employee at the company, said he plays with a five-a-side team at Chippenham College every Tuesday night and the idea for a charity football match came from this.
He said: ”It’s a friendly football match in aid of a very good cause.
"Hopefully we will get a fair few people to watch and there will be some collection buckets on the day.
"Everyone is invited and we’ll be going to the Old Lane pub for a pint afterwards.
“All the lads are talking about it and looking forward to playing and it’s hopefully something that we’ll be doing again.”
Unite the Union, frozen food caterers Apetito and roofing company Metrotile have also donated money towards the match at Stanley Park.
Kick-off is at 1pm and all are welcome to attend.
