THREE military cadets from Swindon have earned the honour of taking part in official duties after being appointed Lord Lieutenant’s cadets this week.

The three teenagers were named during the Lord Lieutenant’s Commendation for Meritorious Service awards ceremony held at the Town Hall Assembly Rooms, in Devizes.

As part of their year-long role, they will accompany the Lord Lieutenant Sarah Rose Troughton on her official engagements.

Cadet sergeant Abigail Limb, petty officer Cadet Kerenza Leigh Clements and cadet sergeant Macauley Byrnes were each chosen on their merits within the cadet force, as well as for their dedication and work within the community.
