Movember has arrived, with men across Wiltshire preparing their face-fuzz for a month of moustache growing in aid of charity.

Staff at the Wiltshire Times are joining in the annual event, which aims to raise funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancers.

Among those taking part are customers and staff at the Bath Arms, Crockerton, who got together at the pub on November 1 to divest themselves of their existing facial hair growth.

Barclays bank manager Nikki Spreadbury-Clews helped organise the event with landlord Dean Carr.

She said: “While Mo Bros and Mo Sistas viewed different styles and shapes, a meal was served by Dean, with a donation going to the charity.”

She added: “If you see sprouting of moustaches on your visit to the Bath Arms during Movember, please support this cause by placing a donation in the collection box.

“On Friday, Movember 30, all Mo Bros will meet at the pub for the finale. A Mo Sista will judge the best Mo and then there will be the shave-off.”

Barclays has offered to match funds raised at the pub by up to £750.
