Free blood pressure checks for shoppers

Christmas shoppers can have a free blood-pressure check from paramedics when visiting Chippenham town centre this Saturday.

Staff volunteers from Great Western Ambulance Service will be on hand in the Market Place, outside the Angel Hotel, between 10am and 2pm offering to take people’s blood-pressure – to identify their risk of stroke – as well as inviting them to help shape the future of their ambulance service.

Does one have to have proof that one is actually shopping before having a blood pressure check? What if someone simply going from one place to another through the town centre?
