ANGUS Macpherson, the Conservative candidate in the Wiltshire police and crime commissioner election, has secured the most first preference votes in the Swindon area.
Mr Macpherson took 7,819 first preference votes. Labour's Clare Moody is in second place with 7,679 votes.
They are followed by John Short, for UKIP, with 2,356 votes, independent Colin Skelton with 2,068 votes, Lib Dem Paul Batchelor with 1,842 votes and independent Liam Silcocks with 1,221 votes.
The first preference result for the rest of Wiltshire is yet to be announced.
