SOMEONE in Swindon could be walking around the town unaware that they are a millionaire.

A ticket bought in the town for the Euromillions draw on Friday, September 28, won the Millionaire Raffle prize - but nobody has come forward to claim it yet.

Lottery bosses are now encouraging people to double check their stubs after an initial appeal last month failed to find the lucky ticket holder.

For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle selection printed on their ticket.

The winning digits were ZLJ501773 and the ticket-holder has until March 27, 2013, to make a claim.

If no one comes forward then the £1m will go to The National Lottery Good Causes – adding to the £28bn already raised through sales since the game launched in November 1994.

A spokeswoman for the National Lottery said: “We’re desperate to find the mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“Being able to guarantee two UK millionaires every week with Millionaire Raffle is fantastic and we’re urging everyone to check their old EuroMillions tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding so that this prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club."

To protect anonymity, the National Lottery does not give details of where tickets were bought where prizes have gone unclaimed, but seeks to jog people’s memories.

At the time will.i.am and The Script topped the UK singles charts with Hall Of Fame, while The Killers were top of the album charts with Battle Born.

The day after the draw, Swindon Town won 1-0 away at Shrewsbury Town.

And people may have visited the Swindon Arts Centre where The Phoenix Players presented the play Dead Guilty between September 26 and 29.
