People in Chippenham, Calne and Melksham are needed to join the new Chippenham cancer care fundraising group supporting the Forever Friends Appeal at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
The Chippenham group will be raising funds towards the RUH Cancer Care campaign for a new pioneering cancer centre at the RUH.
The next meeting for the Chippenham group will be on Thursday December 6 at the Brewers Fayre pub in Cepen Park, Chippenham.
Zoe Tainton, community fundraiser at the Appeal said: “We would love for anyone to join us. The group of eight has only met once before and so members are keen for more to join them while ideas are fresh and everyone gets to know each other. With over 2,000 new cases of cancer at the RUH every year, more and more of us are being treated at the RUH. The staff here do an excellent job, despite their surroundings.”
