TODAY'S New Year's Day fixtures at both Chippenham Town and Melksham Town will go ahead, it was confirmed this morning.

Chippenham Town, who last night completed the signing of long-tme Bath City captain Jim Rollo, reported no problems ahead of their Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division clash at home to local rivals Frome Town, managed by ex-Bluebirds boss Darren Perrin.

The match will kick off at 3pm at Hardenhuish Park, with defender Rollo going straight into the home side's squad for the game.

Meanwhile, Melksham Town's Toolstation League Premier Division clash at home to Bristol Manor Farm (3pm) will also go ahead as planned following a morning pitch inspection.

The remainder of the Toolstation League programme has been badly hit, with matches involving Corsham Town, Devizes Town, Westbury United, Warminster Town and Bradford Town all postponed.

Calne Town's match on the 3G surface at Keynsham Town in the First Division goes ahead as planned (3pm).
