A couple who Wiltshire Police wanted to speak to in connection with the New Year’s Day death of popular Melksham garage worker Graham Topp have come forward.
Devizes-born Mr Topp, 40, collapsed and died at 6am at the Total Garage, in Semington Road, with police appealing for two witnesses, who’d be shopping in the store, to come forward.
Detective Constable Melanie Carosi, Investigating Officer said: “We would like to thank the media for their assistance and to all of the members of the public who phoned us with information.
"We have been contacted by the couple and they are assisting us with our enquiries into the sudden death of Graham Topp.”
The police are not treating the death of Mr Topp, a former pupil of Devizes School, as being suspicious.
Since Mr Topp’s death, a Facebook page has been set up in his memory by friends and regular customers from the garage.
So far, more than 2,500 people have joined the page and have left tributes for Mr Topp, who worked the late shift at the store and was known as Big G.
If anyone would like to leave a tribute they can visit www.facebook.com/RipGrahamTopp?ref=ts&fref=ts.
