Muddy challenge for law firm team
Staff at Melksham law firm Stone King have completed a gruelling 10km obstacle race to raise money for charity.
The 10-strong team took part in the Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest run at London’s Battersea Power Station.
They had to scale a 10ft wall and wade through mud and water to complete the race, while also dodging a water cannon.
Nick Watson, the head of Stone King’s employment team, said: “We all completed the event in good time, with most of us doing it in under an hour, and, bar a few scrapes and bruises, we all came back relatively unscathed.
“The event was a big test of stamina and speed, but it was also great fun and we have raised valuable funds for two very worthwhile causes.”
The team has raised £800 so far, to be divided equally between its chosen charities for the year: Shooting Star CHASE, which provides children’s hospice services, and the Bath Institute of Medical Engineering (BIME), which specialises in technology to assist disabled people.
The team can still be sponsored for their November 17 effort, at www.virginmoney giving.com/team/StoneKingMensHealthAssaultCourse
