Eygptian take on a familiar story

Seend Fawlty Players’ annual pantomime is based on an ancient Egyptian story about a Greek slave girl.
The rags to riches tale, called The Golden Slipper, features characters that would be recognised from Cinderella including Pharaoh (Prince Char-ming), a couple of slave girls (ugly sisters), a falcon (a sort of fairy godmother) and a kind father/Buttons figure.
The panto will be the 34th performed by the Players and is running between February 14-16 at Seend Community Centre, Rusty Lane.
Tickets are available from Seend Shop, the Community Centre and the Brewery Inn, Seend Cleeve.
Proceeds will go to local good causes.
l The Players are seeking volunteers to take over the jobs of front of house and box office.
