Wiltshire funding to stay warm

The Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon has made its 100th grant in this year’s Wiltshire Surviving Winter appeal.
Herman Miekle, 78, of Stratton St Margaret, who applied through the Citizens Advice Bureau, has received a grant of £300 to buy electric heaters for his home.
His boiler had been condemned and he was trying to keep warm in his car.
The foundation collects donations and distributes them as grants to older and vulnerable people.
