The family of Suzanne Newton, the Melksham woman found dead on Sunday today paid tribute to her.

A statement from her family read: “Sue was a much loved mother and daughter. A loyal friend to all who knew her.

"She was hardworking and her joy came from her son, of whom she was so proud, her little dog and her horses. She will be missed by so many people.”

The family has called for privacy, and do not wish to be identified.

Mrs Newton, 45, was found dead at her home in Barnes Wallis Close, Bowerhill on Sunday morning. Her husband Richard Newton, 51, has been charged with her murder, and will appear before Bristol Crown Court on Monday.
