Action taken on shop rubbish
The Environmental Health Department has conducted an inspection of the area behind the Greenmeadow shops after residents raised concerns about rubbish in the area.
The inspection discovered the bins from the shops are emptied every Monday and the shop owners are in the process of forming a management committee to maintain the site.
In the interim they take turns clearing accumulated refuse where possible.
It is also alleged the area is experiencing anti-social behaviour issues. This has been referred to the Anti-Social Behaviour team at the next tasking meeting.
