TROWBRIDGE'S Nick Blackwell is set to launch his comeback from his British and Commonwealth title defeat to Billy Joe Saunders last December with two fights in the space of three weeks.
The 22-year-old middleweight will take on 29-year-old Latvian Ruslans Pojonisevs, who has been in the ring with the likes of Patrick Mendy, Cellow Renda and Blackwell's regular sparring partner Chris Eubank Jr, on a home show at Trowbridge's Civic Hall on March 2.
Fellow Contender Gym fighter Gareth Heard will also feature, alongside pro debutants Jono Price, from Staverton, and Luke Martin, from Melksham.
Then on Thursday March 21, Blackwell will come face-to-face with Saunders again but this time not in the ring as the Trowbridge man boxes on the undercard of the former Olympian's televised first British and Commonwealth belt defence against Matthew Hall.
Tickets for the March 2 show are available from the Contender Gym (01225 765712) from next Saturday.
