A man died yesterday (January 22) after suffering a cardiac arrest just off the A350 at Longbridge Deverill, near Warminster.
An ambulance crew and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle arrived at the scene at 6.12pm, after a 999 call reported a gold Volvo estate leaving the carriageway and coming to rest in the embankment.
When they arrived at the scene a police officer was already giving the driver CPR, after he had gone into cardiac arrest, following a suspected heart attack.
The man, who is thought to be in his 60s, was unable to be revived and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
If there are any witnesses to this incident contact PC Mark Cargill from the Roads Policing Department at Devizes on 101.
