Have say on future of Royal Wootton Bassett

Residents will have the chance to have their say on the future of Royal Wootton Bassett as part of a Neighbourhood Plan event next weekend.

People across the town will have the chance to influence what happens in their community, including housing, business, land use planning and green spaces on Saturday, February 2.

The event will take place on the ground floor of the Civic Centre in Station Road from 10am-3pm.

A spokesman said: “The Royal Wootton Bassett Neighbourhood Plan is an opportunity for local people to have an impact on the type of issues that affect Royal Wootton Bassett.

“It provides an opportunity for local people and organisations to develop their own ideas about the place where they live, work and visit and for these ideas to become part of Wiltshire’s Core Strategy; the primary governing document for planning in the local area.”

Royal Wootton Bassett residents and representatives from groups and organisations are invited to join the launch of the Neighbourhood Plan.
