Wiltshire College is hoping to put its name in the record books when it takes part in a world record attempt on Thursday.
Staff and students from its campuses will be joining an attempt to break the record for the most people wearing recyclable paper hats in a variety of locations.
The attempt will be taking place to help raise awareness for environmental issues that affect people from around the globe.
Wiltshire College Principal and Chief Executive Di Dale said: “The countdown to the college’s world record attempt has begun and we are certain it will be a memorable college-wide event with other community partners getting involved.
“Recycling is an important part of the college’s commitment to sustainability and the environment and this event supports the key message of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.”
The current world record was set in Japan, last year, when 972 people wore hats a company festival held by Aisin AW.Co.Ltd (Japan).
