Devizes town council has been congratulated on its display of Christmas lights.
At the town council meeting on Tuesday night, Wiltshire councillor Jeff Ody took the opportunity to applaud the council for its work.
He said: “It was a really excellent display and the council should be very pleased with what it achieved.”
A report to the recreation and properties committee said the dressing of the tree at Pennybank, at the corner of St John’s Street and High Street, was widely appreciated and brighter lights had been installed round the Crammer pond.
Coun Sue Evans said: “We are proud of our town and the lights were excellent.”
