THE world famous Cory Brass Band will join Bratton Silver Band for their annual concert at Wiltshire Music Centre on Sunday, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their first performance at the Best of British Brass concert there.
In celebration of the 10 year friendship between the Cory Band and Bratton Silver Band, this year’s concert will feature both bands on stage, culminating in a ‘massed bands’ finale.
The last time the Cory Band, from South Wales, joined Bratton Silver Band on stage was in 2009 to celebrate the 150 year anniversary of the Bratton band, with the concert proving to be a huge success.
Secretary and principal cornet player for Bratton Silver Band Lisa Hill said: “It’s definitely going to be another great event and we are really looking forward to playing alongside the Cory Band on stage again.
“This is the 10th year we have had them play at the concert and we have built up a good friendship over that time. They were so popular the first time they played the ‘Best of British Brass’ that we kept asking them back.”
Tickets for the 3pm concert are £20 from 01225 860100 or www.wiltshiremusic.org.uk
