Bride and groom Lisa Richardson and James Stone are counting down to their big day, with the Win Your Wedding couple all set to tie the knot on February 16.

The Warminster pair, who live in West Street with their three children – Jack, 14, Archie, five, and Charlie, three – have spent the last two weeks putting the final touches on their dream wedding.

Lisa has visited the wedding venue, Leigh Park Country House Hotel, and seen a preview of the flowers that will be designed by Warminster-based Blooms.

The rings have been picked up from Lee’s Jewellers and her tiara and jewellery collected from Claire’s Crystal Classics.

The couple were named as the winners of the Wiltshire Times Win Your Wedding competition, worth more than £7,000, in November 2011.

Lisa, 37, said: “We are both really looking forward to it, although the nerves are really starting to kick in the closer we get. Everything is pretty much sorted now and I just can’t believe how quickly it has come around.

“I recently went with my mum to Leigh Park, to finalise the preparations for the wedding day and go through how everything will run.

“They have been great throughout and made it all very smooth.

“I then had to collect my tiara from Claire’s Crystals and she very kindly made me a necklace and earrings as well.

“She has been great at advising me and is very reasonable with the extras, even helping out my bridesmaid.

“We’ve also picked up the rings from Lee’s Jewellers and I’ve been to see a mock-up of the wedding flowers, which looked lovely.

“We really can’t thank the sponsors enough, as they have all been fantastic.”

Lisa and James, 39, met in 2000, when Lisa, who works at Junction 18 in Warminster, went to borrow a suitcase from the home of his sister, a work colleague.

James, an IT manager for the BBC in Bristol, moved to Warminster with his family when he was 10.

They had planned to marry in 2011, but were forced to cancel after a series of set-backs, which led to Lisa entering the couple for the prize without telling James.

Leigh Park’s wedding co-ordinator, Louise Rathband, said: “It’s been a really smooth process and Lisa has been very organised. We’ve gone through all the final details and agreed on menus and colour schemes.

“It’s been really fun being involved with Lisa and James’s big day all the way through and she has been a pleasure to deal with.

“We are just looking forward to holding the wedding and the reception now.”

Claire Ennis, owner of Claire’s Crystal Classics, said: “It’s all gone really well and Lisa has been lovely to work with. It’s been a pleasure to play a part in her big day.

“We’ve had a lot of laughs along the way and I have also been able to make a necklace, earrings and a pearl and crystal comb, on short notice, for her bridesmaid.”

Other sponsors of the Win Your Wedding competition include the Clothes Horse, Beauty Bouquet, Elite Limousines, Courtyard Creative, Kevin’s Menswear, Simply Beautiful Things, Cake 2 Remember and DC Leisure.
