The creators of Wallace and Gromit will be coming to Melksham this month, as part of the town’s first children’s film festival.
Artists from Aardman will be holding a model-making workshop on February 12, to show children how to make their own character.
Three Wallace and Gromit films will be shown, along with the studio’s feature-length film, The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!
The festival will feature screenings and workshops all through the half-term week, starting with a free fun day on Monday, with films including Lady and the Tramp, Shrek and Hook.
A film-making workshop will also be held, as well as a session offering the chance to design a superhero.
The film listings for Wednesday are still to be decided, with the day’s schedule due to be chosen by a public vote.
The film festival is organised by Melksham Town Council and supported by the National Lottery. Details and times of events are online at www.melkshamfilmfestival.
