Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson was one of two PCCs chosen to showcase his vision at a Victim Support meeting in London.
Angus Macpherson and Dorset PCC Martyn Underhill spoke at the charity’s Board of Trustees meeting in Canary Wharf today.
Mr Macpherson said: “Working with Victim Support is important to me as a way of improving the support victims of crime and anti-social behaviour in Wiltshire and Swindon receive from criminal justice agencies.
“So I am delighted to have met the charity’s Board of Trustees to discuss how we can work together to ensure that victims are given the best possible support in this current financial climate.”
The Commissioner will outline in detail how he intends to improve services for victims of crime in Wiltshire in his forthcoming Police and Crime Plan, with consultation on a draft of this plan due to start on Monday, February 18.
At today's event Mr Macpherson spoke about: Close working between the Office of the PCC and Victim Support, potentially sharing facilities Use of video links between courts and police stations Two consultation events he has held in Swindon and Salisbury with the voluntary and community sector on his forthcoming Police and Crime Plan Setting up quarterly victim forums and victims panels to ‘test check’ services Javed Khan, chief executive of Victim Support, said: “Angus Macpherson is one of the leading Conservative PCCs who has publicly committed to putting victims first and it's an opportunity to hear how he intends to meet these commitments.”
Victim Support gives free and confidential help to all victims of crime whether it has been reported or not. This includes burglary, assaults, sex offences and domestic violence.

two visions being showcased.
Wouldn't it be better to just say they are presenting their ideas.
The former is highfalutin nonsense.

A very similar sentence from the Bournemouth echo:
DORSET’S Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill is one of only two chosen to showcase his vision for the county at a Victim Support meeting in London.
