Police are warning Castle Combe residents to lock their cars and homes after a spate of thefts over the past fortnight.
Police community support officer Will Taylor said drivers should hide valuables following five incidents since January 23, an unusually high number for the village.
Incidents include a padlock being broken off a van and two laptops stolen from separate vehicles. In one of these cases, the car had been left unlocked.
Thieves stole a handbag after entering through the unlocked back door of a house on January 28. Two days later, £100 in cash was taken from a glove box after a car window was smashed.
